CUD 26-04: Compliance Analyst I

Brief Description: The Credit Union Department is currently seeking a Compliance Analyst I to join the Credit Union Dept’s Compliance Team. The Compliance Analyst I performs compliance analysis and investigation work evaluating records, programs, policies, documents and/or contracts to ensure conformity with laws, rules and regulations. Responsibilities include processing and investigating complaints, reviewing departmental correspondence to ensure accuracy in grammar and punctuation and completing other office related tasks as assigned.  The role further extends to assisting the Agency Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, when required, by disseminating incoming information, maintaining organized filing systems, and managing departmental data. In addition to these core duties, the Administrative Assistant may contribute to the training of new employees and, on occasion, assume responsibilities associated with other positions on a substitute or as-needed basis.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, finance, accounting, computer science, statistical analysis, mathematics, research methodology, or a related field is generally preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with compliance and/or regulatory requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with office practices, administrative procedures, and general administrative support.
  • Experience working in a financial institution or credit union environment.
  • Experience working in a legal or law-related environment.

Salary: $48,244.00 – $66,255.00

CUD 26-05: Executive Assistant II or III

Brief Description:  The Credit Union is currently seeking an Executive Assistant to join the Administrative Support Team.  The Executive Assistant performs advanced administrative support work. Provides administrative functions, including examination report; assists in Department correspondence processing and review for grammatical and punctuation accuracy; supports the Deputy Commissioner and the Director of Examination Support Activities with examination related processes, disseminates incoming information, maintains filing and data systems, and other general administrative support.  On occasion, may be required to assist in training new employees.  May perform tasks for other job positions on a substitute, or as needed, basis. 

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a two-year associate degree (or higher) is preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least eight years of progressive responsible experience in office practices and administrative procedures

Salary: $66,000 – $87,046 annually (Full-Time);  $31.73 – $41.84 hourly (Part-Time)

  • This position may be structured as either part-time or full-time and requires 32 to 40 hours of work per week.

CUD 26-06: Field Supervisor

Brief Description:  The Credit Union is currently seeking a Field Supervisor to join the Financial Examiner Team.   The Field Supervisor is a critical leadership position within the Credit Union Department (CUD). This role directs and mentors a team of professional financial examiners responsible for conducting risk-focused safety, soundness, and compliance examinations of Texas state-chartered credit unions. The supervisor ensures examinations are thorough, objective, well-documented, and consistent with the Texas Finance Code, CUD rules and regulations, and applicable federal requirements for federally insured credit unions.   This position plays a vital role in protecting the interests of Texas credit union members, maintaining public confidence in the state-chartered credit union system, identifying emerging risks, and promoting sound governance, risk management, and operational practices. The supervisor periodically serves as Examiner-in-Charge (EIC) for complex, large, or troubled credit unions, provides expert guidance on enforcement matters and corrective actions, and reports to the Deputy Commissioner.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate of an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a closely related field. A minimum of nine (9) semester hours in accounting (including basic and intermediate accounting) is required.
  • Master’s degree, CPA license, Certified State Credit Union Examination Supervisor (CSCUES), or other relevant professional certification is strongly preferred.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of nine (9) years of progressively responsible professional experience in examination, supervision, regulation, internal audit, or external audit of financial institutions. Managerial experience in a credit union or other financial institution may substitute for a portion of the regulatory experience requirement.

Salary:  $102,000.00 – $160,000.00
